Sad Report

Although Garage Sale BoB and I had good times together, I felt that it was beyond my personal power to repair him. I don't have the proper skills and tools to make him what he was. He lays in a plastic bag in my desk drawer. If anyone wants him, please let me know - he will go to the first request. If noone wants him, he will be in the dumpster within a weeks time. Please everyone, remember BoB with kindess and respect. He was one of a kind and I enjoyed his company for the short time that we had together. BoB I think you are the most super special broken amish figurine that I ever did have the pleasure to meet. Beyond words, I am happy that our paths have crossed, but now I must say good bye. Goodbye BoB.

BoB has a taste for Chinese.

After a hard day of the family conducting the garage sale. We decided to go out for the evening meal. We decided to invite BoB along for the journey since he had a hard day with the fall off the table and all. BoB suggested Chinese. He said he never had it. So that's where we went. BoB decided to ride on the dashboard so he could have the best view. Also he hung out the sun roof quite a few times. I can see at this point that he can be a little wild.
BoB was extremily overwhelmed with excitement when we pulled up to the establishment and he noticed this lion statue. He asked if I could take his picture with it. Of course, I said sure BoB.
BoB ordered orange chicken and fried rice. He drank lots of tea and some mai tai. He learned how to use chopsticks pretty quickly. I was impressed with his chopstick skills.
Now, I have some sad news to report. After supper when we got home, Bob was placed in the fridge to cool off next to a case of beer. Unfortunatley, someones carelessness (Noah) had caused another accident to BoB. He fell out of the fridge crashing to the ground. Now he lays in a plastic sandwich bag. All pieces there. Please know that I will soon be putting him back together so he can have more adventures. Your prayers and postive thoughts for his repair would be extremily appreciated. This time I will be using a hot glue gun instead of tape (yes, folks the injuries are that bad). He's gonna be as good as almost new! I just know it. I believe it in my heart.

The Story of Bob (rough beginnings)

To tell you the truth, I never noticed BoB the few days of the sale as he stood on one of the tables waiting to be purchased. Aunt Mary brought him with her loot. During the sale, Isabelle came running to us, stating: "this broke!" (translation: I broke this when I was touching all the things that I wasn't supposed to be touching) , holding a little male figurine of Amish decent that appeared to be in a couple pieces.
So, Isabelle broke BoB and his story with us begins.... I decided I would tape him up and make him whole again. BoB actually struck me as quite boring, so I drew a face on him. A happy little face. Then, I thought - Hey, let's see if anyone will buy this guy, so I gently placed a "make an offer" sticker on him. Nobody purchased him and the family grew attached to him as the day went on. So we named him. We decided to keep him and document his life. BoB is so much more than a broken, displaced, unwanted nik nak. He is a broken, displaced wanted nik nak....and he desires to discover the world, one little adventure at a time.
Little Facts you may want to know about BoB:
BoB originally did not have a face. I drew one on him, & then Isabelle added more detail later on.
BoB has a mate, who is not broken. She is in the care of my sil, Irene. I forgot her name though....it's something with an M.
BoB measures approx. 4 1/2 inches tall.
BoB's first adventure out was to a local Chinese Restaurant.
